I first met an Energycentric representative at the ACEVO Annual Conference in 2011, at a time when we were struggling to sort out the utilities for our brand new ExtraCare scheme in Birmingham. Within a week I had a visit, and within days they were able to sort out the problems with the incumbent supplier and had full understanding of a multi-site organisation. We saved 25% on our gas and electricity contracts in the process! Our relationship with Energycentric began in November 2010 following a recommendation we received from Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations (ACEVO). At that time Energycentric negotiated a new electricity contract for our 33 sites which delivered a significant saving on our electricity expenditure and also secured a programme of automated meter installation for most of our major sites. This additional feature of the contract will enable us to benefit from accurate monthly billing, removing the reliance on estimated meter readings and the budgetary implications that can cause on a contract of our size. The service we have received from Energycentric has been excellent. Our Account Manager, Helen O’Brien, has worked extremely hard to maintain regular dialogue between us and our energy suppliers, resulting in a partnership relationship between the three parties that we believe is unusual in these particular markets. We also receive additional support from one of Energycentric’s Directors, Paul Lomas, whose expertise in the energy markets has given us a valuable insight into the market forces and features that are relevant to us. I would highly recommend Energycentric’s service to anyone who requires a reliable, forward-thinking and innovative energy broker.

Energycentric have managed to keep our energy costs down at a time when prices have been rising consistently, saving us time by sourcing prices from all the energy suppliers and then presenting the information in a clear and precise format. By giving us a clear list of options, together with their recommendations, they left the final decision with us. This allowed us to remain in control, whilst keeping the administration to a bare minimum. We are thankful they also organised all of the paperwork too. Our energy information has now been collated in one manageable format, and if any problems do occur we are grateful they are more than happy to sort these out for us. When Yorkshire Mediation moved office in April 2015 we had a whole raft of administrative issues to deal with, changing address details with various supplier and contacts.
