We wanted to provide you with an update on the Energy Bills Discount Scheme (EBDS) from the EBDS team at the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero.

The UK Government offers two levels of support for energy bills to eligible non-domestic customers.

  • The first level is the baseline discount support, which is automatically applied.
  • The second level is referred to as EBDS support for Energy and Trade Intensive Industries (ETII) and Heat Networks, and customers need to apply for it.

To be eligible for ETII support, an organisation must generate at least 50% of its revenue from UK-based activity within eligible Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code sectors. If you would like more information or want to apply, please visit here.

The deadline to apply for the higher level of support is 25 July 2023 for most non-domestic customers.
We strongly encourage eligible organisations that haven’t applied yet to do so now. By applying today, you will be eligible for the higher level of support until 31 March 2024.

Please note that the UK Government administers this scheme.
If you have any questions about the application process, feel free to reach out to the EBDS customer support team:
